Bible Question:
Leviticus 12:5 speaks of the ucleanness of 66 days for a woman giving birth to a female child, the previous verse speaks of 33 days for a male child anyone have an explanation as to why this is? |

Lev 12:2-8; Rom 5:12-14; Gal 3:28; Col 3:11; 1 Tim 2:14-15 ... tigris, greetings, and welcome to the SBF, The best answer is because that was what God wanted and He didn't give a clear reason ... no does He have to. Note, the period of uncleanness is also doubled (7 vice 14 days) and the boys were circumcised (Lev 12:2-8). While there is no difference between boys and girls (Gal 3:28; Col 3:11), it was Eve was who deceived (1 Tim 2:14-15). But, as I thought about that, I remembered it was because of Adam's sin, sin entered the world (Rom 5:12-14).
