Bible Question:
I gave you scriptural references and always do when discussing a subject. You only answer with questions. Can you explain the meaning of these verses by scriptural reference rather than ignoring them? "Refrain from these men"and "ye cannot overthrow it" means exactly what it says. The bible says that you are not to war against anything that God is doing, including Iraq. I only mentioned The Garden of Eden to show you that it is Holy Ground and not to be messed with by us or anyone else, or you will perish with the sword! "if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God..." in Iraq or anywhere else for that matter. The election of Presidents. The disposal of Presidents. Acts 5:38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: "Acts 5:38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: |
Bible Answer: Heman Let us take this real slowly. The verse you quote is recording what Gamaliel said. It is not inspire nor is it doctrine from God. It was man's logic. We know in fact that many times it does not hold true. For instance look at Mormon's. We know they are a cult yet their growth rate exceeds Christianity. Another is Islam again a false hood yet it is the fastest growing religion in the world. Deuteronomy 18:22 (NKJV) 22 "when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him. Now even if what Gamaliel said was true, and it's not, the fact we think the garden of Eden might have been located in area now known as Iraq doesn't make Iraq holy ground. Show me one verse that declares the ground where Eden once stood as Holy Ground. Also remember the flood may have changed everything even the course of the rivers that are used to give the approximate location of the Garden of Eden. For all we know Eden could have been in what is now called Iran, or Saudi Arabia the fact is no one has an idea where Eden was. Lastly we are not going after the land but rather a power structure that promoted world terrorism and down right hostility toward Israel. Genesis 12:3 (NKJV) 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." You can not take disconnected verses and paste them together to make them say what you want. That is adding to and subratracting from the Word of God and a very dangerous position to be in. Revelation 22:18-19 (NKJV) 18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Lastly how do you know we (the USA) wasn't God's plan to defned Israel in times like this? Perhaps it is God's plan for us to go into Iraq to insure Israel's security. So instead of fighting against Gog's will we are actually doing his will. See you don't know but you manipulated scripture to say what we were doing is all wrong when if fact it seems to be God's plan to once again bless Israel. EdB |
