Bible Note: Greetings reilly! I'm glad that you have been discerning on this sensitive issue. You wrote that the reason people pray to Mary is because it is "Much easier to chat to somebody like yourself, than the Creator of all heaven and earth." God knows this, therefore He sent His Son . . . in the form of a man, so that we could know God through Him. Why would we ever prefer a substitue (Mary) over the REAL thing?!
