NASB | Ezekiel 46:20 He said to me, "This is the place where the priests shall boil the guilt offering and the sin offering and where they shall bake the grain offering, in order that they may not bring them out into the outer court to transmit holiness to the people." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ezekiel 46:20 He said to me, "This is the place where the priests shall boil (cook) the guilt offering and the sin offering, and where they shall bake the grain offering, so that they do not bring them out into the outer courtyard to transmit holiness to the people." |
Bible Question: I have been devoted to reading the Bible from beginning to end. Unfortunately I have been doing this on my own, up until now. Throughout the Old Testiment I have heard references to Holiness and how it is not to be "transmitted" to common people. I am at Ezekial now and I have come to this subject again.I can not grasp this notion and would like an interpretation that I can understand. Any instruction would be greatly appreciated. |
Bible Answer: Greetings kicknchick and welcome to the forum, The Bible is a lot like math when it comes to its understanding. There are some portions of the Bible that could be compared to trigonometry in mathematics. The mystery in understanding the Bible is found in the New Testament. The New Testament is like the addition, subtraction multiplication and division, as it were; you need it first before the rest is made clear. The fact is, the natural man, with out the help of God Himself, can’t understand most of the thing that are written in the Bible. 1 Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. I have a suggestion that might clear the Bible up for you. Start reading the New Testament and ask God to reveal the truth that is contained in the New Testament and the Lord might open up your understanding and be your personal instructor. John 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. God has a very special life for you, and that Life will come about due to a personal relationship with the person that God sent. You can have your own personal link to God as a result of this relationship. 1 Tim. 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. The book of John was written so that you might have this new life, and understand the things of God. John 20:30-31 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: [31] But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. My suggestion, CDBJ |
