Bible Question: Why was it appropriate that a seraph should purify Isaiah by fire? |
Bible Answer: Nolan, the Hebrew root is saraph (Strong's 08313) menas to burn. I thought this to be interesting, in light that he took a Live coal in his hand. Verse 6 Isaiah said he had unclean lips and when he was touched the seraph said since his lips were touched, his sins were atoned for. One thing fire does is to purify (refine) (Isa 1:25, Mal 3:2). Break - need to go swimming with my family. Steve |
