NASB | Isaiah 53:2 For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Isaiah 53:2 For He [the Servant of God] grew up before Him like a tender shoot (plant), And like a root out of dry ground; He has no stately form or majestic splendor That we would look at Him, Nor [handsome] appearance that we would be attracted to Him. |
Bible Question: I have a question to ask about Jesus' status. In the Bible it states that Judas was Jesus' "treasurer" does this mean that Jesus was rich? |
Bible Answer: No, he told those who wanted to follow Him… Mat 8: 20Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." The profit Isaiah described Him this way… Isaiah 53: 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. philemcc |
