Subject: What is the glory of God? |
Bible Note: Greetings John Reformed! Thank you for shedding some light on this topic from the Westminster Catechism. I can see how our response to God's glory falls into different categories at times. I posted a reply you might want to read to TheCurtMan on this thread that posed a few additional questions and observations to consider. I am ashamed to admit that I have missed the "glory of God" A LOT! Yet how thankful I am that I know Jesus, the full expression of Himself. The things of God are so lofty for my puny human brain that I feel like my mind is "fried" at times when I contemplate Him, yet He is patient and loving with me, revealing just enough of Himself to meet my immediate need. Oh the process . . . "To God be the glory, great thing He hath done, so loved He the world that He gave us His son . . ." mommapbs PS: Any thoughts on this prayer? "Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You," John 17:1 |
