AMPLIFIED 2015 | Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait for the LORD [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired. [Heb 12:1-3] |
Bible Question: How long do we wait on the lord, and what to do in the lord while waiting, what is active waiting, standing still to see the salvation of the lord and patience is a virtues; what is the meaning of all this? |
Bible Answer: Edd Another Ed well as they say two Eds are better than one. Sorry couldn't resist. Waiting on the Lord can be a hard hard thing and one I have had to practice many times. I hope to get it right sooner or later. One thing I learned it is easier to change the direction of rolling stone than to get the stone rolling. By that I mean if I start in a direction I feel is right and keep my eye on Christ willing to be lead or change direction I usually find I get on the right track almost instantly. However if I start in a direction refusing to be deflected I usually end up in trouble. Also if I sit around do nothing usually nothing happens. One thing is true if you always do what you have always done you will always get what you have always gotten. EdB |
