Bible Note: Swerv, the "teaching" of Hell as an eternal place of torment is in no fashion or form simply a tradition going back to Roman Catholicism, it is a very plainly, clearly and passionately expounded reality of scripture. We are told more in Holy Scrpiture of the conditions in Hell than we are even given of the realities of Heaven. Please use your concordance and look up the terms Hell, outer darkness, weeping, gnashing of teething, eternal torment,Sheol and others and study very carefully both Old and New Testament teachings along with all cross references listed in this study of yours. After doing this I have no option or conclusion other than a place of eternal damnation and torment for the unregenerate. I will leave your understanding of regeneration totally alone in this matter. I do believe that it is possible to vary on that issue with proof texts on both sides. However Hell is not possible to find another view from scripture other than the traditional orthodox view that is held all through evangelical and Roman Catholic theology. I know that God has no intention of man getting this one wrong or it would not have been so clearly reavealed in scripture inspired by the Holy Spirit. I hate to even consider where the teaching of a view opposing eternal everlasting torment came from. please investigate this matter thouroughly before you dismiss my posting as just a personal or religious group attack, it is truly out of the love of Christ that I beseech you brother. fedexguy |
