Bible Question: i need an explaination on this verse. one thousand will flee at the threat of one man; you will flee at the threat of five |
Bible Answer: ishey2 so full of fear of the enemy they shall be that in the metaphor God is saying that it will not take much of the enemy to make them flee. Five is a very small number as well as one. This is a prophesy of when the Caldean Army comes against them how easily they will fall. Isaiah 30:15. For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. Because they wouldn't listen to the Lord. hope this helps some. God Bless |
