Bible Question (short): Judgment - clarification requested |
Question (full): John, I've read this thread, and found your mention of the Judgmemt before Christ. Forgive me if my question is inappropriate, or in a wrong place - but my understanding of that event has always been that it's more a moment of reward or lack thereof. That the "judgment" took place at the Cross when we accepted Jesus as Savior, and we continue in self-judgment and when we find ourselves in need of correction, by 1Jn 1:9, we take care of the matter - so it is therefore no longer judgment but reward (or lack of reward). Rom 2:6 For God will reward each of us according to what we have done. Perhaps I've misunderstood you, so let me state that I'm referring to the catching away of the saints of God (the Rapture as some call it), not the Great Day of the Lord, where the unrighteous dead and living will be judged. Have I gotten it all backwards? Eager to learn. Blessings Cheri |
