Bible Question: I believe THE VERY FIRST SIN ever referred to didn't occur in the Garden of Eden, but IN HEAVEN. Lucifer's sin occurred BEFORE Adam and Eve ate the fruit...right? So, if heaven is so perfect and our ultimate goal as Christians, why wasn't it enough to keep Satan satisfied? How do we know there won't be more sin in heaven? |
Bible Answer: tglenn, Well, Satan was cast out of heaven in Isaiah 14:12. Satan's downfall was pride. He wanted to be "like the Most High". Note the 5 "I will's" in 14:13-14. Why won't there be anymore sin in Heaven? 1 Cor. 15:16-17 tells us so. Our "sin" has been dealt with at the Cross! ( 1 Cor. 1:30) Also, note what 1 Cor. 15:50 tells us: "Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable." I hope this helps, BradK |
