Bible Note: you are perfectly right when you say that free will is mentioned in the Bible. What I was saying is I don't recall it being mentioned in Genisis hence I went on Biblegateway.com and looked under the kjv typed the key word free will and these scriptures came up. Exodus 21:5; Leviticus 22:18,21,23; Leviticus 23:38; Number 15:3;Numbers 29:39;Deuteronomy 12:6,17; and so on, but even when you look at these versus they talk about free will offering. The chap in Genisis that you refered to does not clearly state that Adam had a mind of his own it just states the God told Adam not to eat of the tree of knowledge(did I get it right I got it confused last time lol)before Adam and Eve ate of the tree the only thing they knew was Good so they didn't have to choose to do anything they listened to what God told them until Satan came along. The first sign of a thought pattern for man(or woman I should say) is when Eve was talking with the serpant before if I'm not mistaken there wasn't any. |
