Bible Question:
I'd like to have some clarifications about the chapter Proverbs 3:5-6" "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." My girlfriend offered me to read these verses, and I have to see them through the following light: she's thinking whether to continue our relationship or not. This is very sad but besides praying and give her all the time she needs, I can't do anything else. We are very much in love and we have done many life experiences together, we both realized how similar we are and everything is perfect when we are together. However, due to our background difference, she is not sure whether I am the right person or not |
Bible Answer: Some trust in science. Many trust in their own abilities. Some would have you believe that they must understand what scripture says before they can accept the truth thereof. The truth is that if this were true, they most assuredly would not be using a computer, telephone, or even a light bulb. They are fooling only themselves. When I simply do not understand something, Proverbs 3:5-7 is my rock. Inevitably, if it is important, the Holy Spirit reveals it. Sometimes it is years before I get the answer that I thought I needed so much. One show of faith is in a Christian’s adherence to Pro 3:5. God Bless GB |
