Subject: Sexual orientation determined at birth |
Bible Note: Well said stjones except: "I have to agree with the liberals who say that the Bible does not specifically address sexual orientation." By the way happy Thanksgiving. I thank the Lord for allowing myself, beautiful wife, and nine children to be in the land of the living. I also thank Him for providing all of our needs. Alleluia. About your statement; respectfully, everything else that you said is the opposite of your opening paragraph. Please let me explain why: Just as you said "...Scripture does deal with sinful desires in general - they are the result of our fallen nature and our inclination toward sin. ...". Scientific literature ignores the fact of the "sinful nature" of fallen man. Here is one scripture that kalos provided: Roman 1 26For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. Does this scripture show "...silence on sexual orientation in particular ..."? I hope that you don't feel that I am knit picking. Pastor Glenn |
