Subject: Hmmm...Self-Examination |
Bible Note: Hmmm Saints, Seems to me that discussion is far and few inbetween on this website at times (actually, to be truthful, a lot of times). Proverbs 17:14 "The beginning of strife is like releasing water; Therefore stop contention before a quarrel starts." Proverbs 20:3 "It is honorable for a man to stop striving, Since any fool can start a quarrel." Ahhh, and a one more bit of the lessons in the Word... "If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is their duty to lovingly and respectfully confront the person with their sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather is pointing out the truth in hope of bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20)." -gotquestions.org website Now, how about some decent DISCUSSION and refraining from arguing. The LORD does also see the posting on the boards, and the intent of the thoughts and the motivation of the heart behind the postings. Are we seeking to bring brothers and sisters into fellowship and help them along? Or are we seeking self-exultation and prideful recognition to "be right"? Meditation on the Word...Hmmmm |
