Bible Question (short): Proverbs 10:22 |
Question (full): My ESV translation gives this for Proverbs 10:22: "The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.[a]" For note a, it gives this: "Or and toil adds nothing to it" How did those two different translations come about? It seems to me the noted alternative indicates that working hard does add the riches of God's blessings. |
