AMPLIFIED 2015 | Proverbs 1:7 ¶ The [reverent] fear of the LORD [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; But arrogant fools despise [skillful and godly] wisdom and instruction and self-discipline. [Ps 111:10] |
Bible Question: I was just reading Proverbs 8 and began wondering what exactly is wisdom, and how does one go about getting it? It has got to be more than an acquisition of knowledge. Proverbs 8 is so beautiful and poetic that it makes something inside me yearn for it, yet I feel I don't really understand it. |
Bible Answer: Wisdom is something i wish gain EVERY day .. it is actually harder done than said.. it states in proverbs that the fear of the lord is the beginngin of knowledge ... then as well it states in Job 28:28 that the fear of the lord which is wisdom... hope these versus help .. but to answer the question in a sentence.. the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom... |
