Subject: Can Pareyr change God's plan? |
Bible Note: Cyclist: Just remember that God in his omniscience knew that these men would offer prayers, so it is best to think of "God changing his mind" as an apparent change in time and space rather than a change of direction in the eternal, infinitely wise decree of an all-knowing God. A good example is the Exodus passage. Did God really "forget" His promises, or did His stated intention being to Moses' mind (and ours, being readers of the account) the promises that He made to Israel? The idea of a finite member of God's creation "reminding" a forgetful God of something that had slipped His mind should not sit too comfortably with us at all. --Joe! |
