Bible Note: Angel1 Your right God isn't effected by culture but God does establish it. The whole Jewish culture was formed by the very hands of God. What they eat, where they lived, the fact they weren’t to depend on horses, how they planted their fields, rested their lands, treated their slaves, treated each other, how they bought and sold, how they married, who they married, their religion even down to the form and ritual. The blood covenant was established in culture and used by God to confirm His covenant. Everything God did was relating to the culture of the Jewish people. So don't tell us God wasn't part of the Jewish culture. Or that He didn't understand and address issues within that culture. Your right some will be with Jesus and some won't. Jesus said, "those that believe in Me will be with Me and those that don't won't." Jesus said, "He was the door and only through Him could we go to the Father." Again Jesus never talked about the left hand in any positive light. Why? Jesus was teaching the people. In that process Jesus used and constructed word pictures before them. They understood the clean right hand and the dirty left hand. There for to drive home a point when Jesus talked of positive meanings he assigned the right hand meaning. If Jesus meant something negative he related it to or assigned it to the left. If you so interested in allegory why not jump on that and run with it. Now again if you want to to find hidden meanings it this literal practice okay, it causes no harm but it is based on your desire to read something into what God was putting in place. Not a hidden meaning as you have tried to make it. EdB |
