Bible Question: It is interesting to me that when so many other threads get so much response, that this thread seemed to just drop into oblivion. Many threads are on issues which are very theoretical and abstract. On the other hand, this question is very practical, and has the potential to impact our lives on a daily basis. Perhaps so few people want to respond because it hits to close to home? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Sir Pent! You are exactly right, this is a subject that does hit close to home! Just what are the circumstances involved in using company computers for activities such as this Study Bible Forum? I, for one, have been "at the Forum" while at work! My job consists of activities that have to do with insurance. I do not see where it would be wrong to use a company computer in this way, but if being on the Forum while being paid by the hour is against the regulations set forth by the company, then yes, it has become an issue. Most of the time I wait until I am at home so that I will have access to all of my available resources at home. But I will not hesitate to answer a post at work if I can find the Scriptures using the Bible that I have there. I believe that it is more of a question as to whether one is being defiant against company policy or not. If the company has no policy, then I do not see where there is a problem with using company computers to access the Forum. However, if one's job performance suffers due to an overuse of company's time on other things, then that is an issue also. Blessings to you my Brother in Christ! Nolan |
