AMPLIFIED 2015 | Exodus 20:13 ¶ "You shall not commit murder (unjustified, deliberate homicide). [Gen 9:6; Ex 21:12, 14, 18] |
Subject: Is to bill or murder the same |
Bible Note: If I may, Exodus 20:13 in the NASB and AMPLIFIED Bible translations states, "You Shall not Murder, if this is correct because looking in the KJV it says, "You shall not kill." Whichever; means the same. Should have been translated, "thou shalt do no muder"; God, in His Holy Word, commands magistrates to put evil men to death [Rom. 13:4]; that is not murder; to "kill" and to "commit murder" are two different verbs in the Hebrew Text.
