Subject: How do I honor God and my parents? |
Bible Note: Sweetest Mami greetings and welcome to the forum, Hank has given great advice. I believe we never should stop honoring our parents, even when we are old ... I'm 50 and I still honor them. My wife grew up Catholic and has left, when she became a Christian. Her family accepts her choice, so it is easier for us. It is tough when someone doesn't want to listen to an alternative in their beliefs. Who would your father listen to? Would someone older, who has found the Lord, after years as a Catholic work? If you know that, ask a pastor of a local church if they know anyone to fit that need. Meanwhile, live for Him, so they see the Lord in you. Share what He is doing in you and for you and the differnece He is making. I'd say it is okay to go to their church ... but, you don't (shouldn't) say the "Hail, Mary"'s. We go to the Catholic church when we visit. I don't know the routine, yet. Hope this helps, Searcher |
