Bible Question (short): Who were the priests? |
Question (full): When Moses was about to ascend Mount Sinai, God told him: "And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them." (Ex. 19:22) Yet, God did not tell Moses that his brother Aaron and his family would become priests until later. (See Ex. 28:1) So who were the "priests" who were mentioned at Sinai before the giving of the Ten Commandments? |
