Subject: can a person be born evil |
Bible Note: Hello poorbobbie, Not only CAN we be born evil, we are taught by Scripture that we ARE born evil. Romans 5:12 relates to us, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. So we have an inherited sin nature, this I'm sure you know. If I may elaborate, we do not have a sin nature because we sin, but we do sin because we have a sin nature. In other words, look at a horse thief. He does not become a horse thief once he steals a horse, but he steals a horse because he is a horse thief. There is no way anybody can steal a horse if they are not a horse thief, and: There is no way we can sin if we do not have a sin nature within ourselves, (which we do have). As it is written (cf Rom 3:10), There is none righteous, no, not one This is the reason why Father God sent His only begotten Son to suffer and die. There is no other reason why a father would want to see his own son tortured to death, but for the greater good of us all. |
