NASB | Psalm 22:1 My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Psalm 22:1 My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Why are You so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? [Matt 27:46] |
Bible Question:
The theoryof salvation by crucifixion holds that Jesus offered himself willingly to be crucified to save and ransom humanity. If so, why did he say on the cross "My God, my God, why hast though forsaken me? (Matt. 27:46) I think this kinda indicates that Jesus did not want to be crucified, not for any reason not for anyones salvation. |
Bible Answer: Isaac Jesus, You need to read Psalm 22 which Jesus was praying when He said those words. That Psalm starts in desolations and ends in deliverance and vindication. Please read the whole Psalm and you will understand what Jesus was saying. Emmaus |
