Subject: What do you think of Jesus? |
Bible Note: Dear Robert: You refelctions and versus of that day on the cross are beautiful. Just reading it brought tears to my eyes at the awsome thought of how much God really does love us, he loved us so much that yes, he sacrificed his only begotten son for us...knowing us so completely, knowing our human nature, that we would always have short comings and not by our own nature seek him. He loved us so much that he knew that this was the only way and do so un-selfishly....I cannot think of a greater Love than that. I also reflect back sometimes to the old testimant concerning this. Numbers and Levicitus where the priest (Aaron's Sons)had to make sacrifice offerings to God on the alter as a peace offering, an atonement for sins for the people. I can't help but think, God being as he is..omnipresent, omipotent, knowing all things...Knew that we as a people could not keep these commandments, contine the sin offerings, therefore he offered the greatest sin offering of all....His beloved Son in whom he was well pleased. My heart just overflows when I think of such a great love. There will never ever be a Love that could compare to that. |
