Bible Question: PSALM 22 Under what condition/s did David cry out"My God, My God why have you abandoned me?" |
Bible Answer: We don't know the exact plight David was in at the time he wrote this Psalm because the Psalm itself doesn't mention it. David had many times where he may have felt abandoned by God. Times like when Saul had his whole kingdom after David. Or when David committed adultery and murder in affair with Bathsheba. Or when David's own children rebelled against David and David had to flee for his life. Or it could have been in the dark hours of life just preceding his death. In any case God through his Holy Spirit caused David to write the Psalm that tells in intricate detail about the crucifixion and ultimate victory of Jesus Christ. |
