Bible Question: God is our Creator, yet do all men belong to God? What about John 8:44; Ps 119:109; Josh 24:15; Mt 6:24? Input please! What about "redemption?" |
Bible Answer: If they were not God's children, they were the devil's, for God and Satan divide the world of mankind; the devil is therefore said to work in the children of disobedience. Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. God created man. All creation belongs to God, but He gives us a free will to serve whom we choose. One can not serve two masters, for either he will love the one and hate the other, or he will hate the one and love the other, thus man is called "a child" of the one whom he serves. Mat 13:18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. Mat 13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. Mat 13:20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Mat 13:21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. Mat 13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. Mat 13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Mat 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; As to redemption. We are redemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Sadly, there are those who refuse to accept that gift. Redemption comes only through Grace and our acceptance through that "free will" we were given. GB |
