Bible Note: Searcher, LOL... study of all history tells me that scholars and sect leaders are not always correct and their positions must be considered in view of their motovation and objectives. Where Bible doctrine is absent from understanding....how does one reach a conclusion? I don't share your thought that common sense is "dangerous and foolishness" ..even when it comes to Bible study. Example, many believe the 2nd advent of Christ is when the rapture occurs. They opine the Bible is not totally clear. However, common sense tells me that the 2nd advent of Christ will not be for a split second, a blink of the eye ...if you will..and then His presence on earth ends. That does not pass the application test of common sense for purpose. |
