Bible Note: G Preston You ask an interesting question and then make two statements. The first statement you make I have to draw into question. God has never revealed to us through scripture exactly why He (God) created Satan. So any attempt to answer that question is based on man's reasoning rather than God's. And of this we are certain, man's reasoning is tainted by sin that entered the world through man. The second statement is insightful and something many people miss. Yes God did exercise his authority over Satan telling Satan the boundaries in which Satan had to remain in his dealings with Job. As to your question Why did God who pre determined our spiritual distiny have Christ to go the cross. Requires us to plumb the depths of an unknown abyss that men have struggled to explain since men began to apply their own sin tainted wisdom and understanding to scripture instead of accepting it, trusting in God and moving on. |
