Bible Question: But do we have to sin so because it shows off His glory all the more? |
Bible Answer: Hi, I'm new here and I'm enjoying your discussion. I would like to comment on the "sin showing off God's glory." Yes, He tolerates evil and sin because of His love for us. Remember when He created the world? God created the world and man without sin. The devil had been expelled from Heaven (which was the darkness and lack of form and emptiness). The only way evil enters into the world is through sin. Man chose to sin against God and lost dominion to the devil. God is not glorified in evil. Because evil enters into the earth via sin, God gets glory when we return to Him through accepting Jesus and do His will. Sin glorifies His adversary, the devil.
