Subject: Revelation --- easily to understand!??? |
Bible Note: Yeah, I totally agree with you, Hank. I just thought Doc already stated that arguement. Also, 2010-2005 is 5 years, not 7, the biblical number. The Bible never says that the tribulation is 7 years but has enough info to suggest it. 'As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings will arise; and another will arise after them, and he will be different from the previous ones and will subdue three kings. 'He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. (Dan 7:24-25) This time, times and half a time is can be interpeted 3 1/2 years but doesn't have to be. time plus 2 times plus 1/2 time time plus 3 times plus 1/2 time time plus 4 times plus 1/2 time these could all mean a time, times and 1/2 time and "time" could be year, day, hour, or an unspecified unit of time. But, Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months. And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth." (rev 11:2-3) 1260 divided by 360 equals 3.5 years 42 divided by 12 equals 3.5 years But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she *was nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. (rev 12:14) Here is the time, times, and half a time. FOr the sake of consistency, I would say 3 1/2 years. Since this a later chapter in rev than the other passage, I would say it is the latter part of the tribulation suggesting that there are two 3 1/2 years parts. 3.5 times 2 equals 7 years But that is just an interpretation. Where is 5 found in the Bible? |
