Bible Question:
In Revelations 18 verse 24, the bible says that the blood of the Saints and of those who were killed on the earth was found in the Harlot! How is that possible? Secondly in Revelations 20 verse 13, it is written that Death and Hell (Hades) gave up the dead in them so that they can be judged, what then are death and hades? |

Bible Answer: Hello Elizabeth Rev 18:24 - The figurative language can be confusing. Basically, it's saying that the world system "Babylon" (and those involved with it) had the blood of the martyrs on its hands. Rev 20:19 - This is speaking of those who had died outside of Christ. Death is death as we know it, so they are resurrected to appear before the great white throne. Hell (Hades) is a place of torment now (see Luke 16:22-31) which will be emptied, so that those judged will be cast into the lake of fire. Steve |
