Subject: Accuracy not a requirement...? |
Bible Note: Dear SSprln, I couldn't help but jump in. I don't think that anyone is implying that the Doctor is not a man of God or inaccurate. But it is true that his books tilt toward sensationalism. He, like many modern ministers, uses emotions to get your attention. This is entertainment. One thing though, adding little titles after your name is not proof of godliness or truth. Paul probably had more 'credits' than that, and he 'counted all as loss.' Peter probably had none, but he knew Jesus. Frankly, I would count personal service to the saints in a local church as of more value in God's sight than a thousand doctorates or books or shows. Comments? Blessings in Christ Jesus. |
