Bible Note: retxar: You ask: Did you mean to say that NONE of 1John 5:7-8 were in any early manuscripts, or did you mean the longer ending of verse 7 and start of verse 8 was what was added? The words that were added are: "in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. 5:8 And there are three that testify on earth". "This reading, the infamous Comma Johanneum, has been known in the English-speaking world through the King James translation.
