Bible Question: When we accept God's gift of salvation through faith in the death, burial and ressurection of Jesus Christ, God's son, our sins are forgiven. Our sins are blotted out. Our sins are cast as far as the east is from the west. Though our sins were scarlet, we are made white as snow. All our sins, past, present and future are covered by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. This is all true, yes? Then the question I have is why are there still effects of our sins? Such as God still disciplines us. We quench the power of the Holy Spirit. Our sins still have repercussions. Anyone have any thoughts on this? |
Bible Answer: Hi Lionheart, I quote from your answear. "The sin is forgiven. That does't necessarily mean we escape the consequences of what we have done in the past" The sin is forgiven, by itself is conclusive. Thus,to forgive- to pardon-to permit an offence to pass without punishment. Therefore, the conseq- uences are subject to clarification. Your comments, please. With love in Christ. FytRobert |
