Subject: Please explain Hebrews 10:26 to me. |
Bible Note: I am sorry that you have sinned in accordance with Heb. 10:26 by rejecting that knowledge of truth, which is Jesus; or are you just trying to tell us that you still have an old sin nature, still being in a mortal body and have need of I John 1:9?? Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If you are a believer in Jesus and the fact that he died for your sins, it is evident that there are sins that will be committed while we are still in this flesh. If one would stop and think about the essence of God and His omniscience, it should be clear to us that God knew every sin that we would ever commit even before we commit it and yet He still saves us. The sins that we commit after we are saved are more of a shock to us then they are to God, because He knew in eternity past that we would commit them! Confess it to the father and get on with your life! Don’t let the adversary neutralize you in your walk with the Lord. Philip. 3:8-14 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. 12Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
