Bible Question: What does (the golden pot that had manna,Aaron's rod that budded and the table of the covenaht...) mean and what are there significants |
Bible Answer: bunmi, "(the golden pot that had manna,Aaron's rod that budded and the table(ts) of the covenaht...") These were the contents of the Ark of the Covenant (Ex 3:1-5; 25:10-16; 16:33; Num 17:8-10; Deut 10:3-5), which was lost about the time of the Babylonian Exile and never recovered. Hebrews 9 is a contrast between the Heavenly Liturgy and its earthly shadow the Temple Liturgy which continued until the destruction of the temple in 70 AD. The heavenly Liturgy is still real with Jesus as our eternal High Priest always interceding for us and offering his sacrifice to the Father. If you read Acts you will see that after the Resurrection and Ascension the Apostles and early Jewish Christian still participated in the Temple activities. Emmaus |
