Bible Question:
We know God has established HIS purposes before the foundation of the world. However, very few christians seem to understand the purpose of the church and for the church. It seems that Jesus gave us the church power and authority to rule and reign in life through Christ. He gave us a commission to go forth and share the Gospel. Yet many Christians do not have an understanding of their calling in the earth. How would you explain to a young christian that after salvation there is a growing process we are to go through with the purpose of serving God's purposes while we live here on earth. What scripture would you use.? Thank you for your help with this. Qubbie |
Bible Answer: Greetings Qubbie! Check out Ephesians 4. You can also read some of the notes associated with individual verses (the N will be in green, meaning that others have written in on these!) All too often we, in the local church, tend to be more focused about "saving" when we should also be concerned with the "growing" aspect of faith. For as new believers grow in their faith, they too are able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. In this way, the seed is multiplied! Blessings, Mommapbs |
