Bible Question: Is there anything in the Bible that refers to a man divorcing his wife and later get a girlfriend that moves in with him and then his xwife comes back and now lives with both of them? The girlfriend says that there is no sex between the man and his xwife, but the situation is begining to make her uncomfortable. The girlfriend has recently been reflecting on getting back to God and is trying to show just cause for her to be married to the man, but the xwife will not move out. The divorce was due to adultry by the xwife, The man will not let the girlfriend go anywhere unless she takes the xwife with her. That makes me think he is uncomfortable to be left alone with the xwife. The girlfriend need biblical information as to why the man should tell the xwife to find another place to live. Also, is there scripture that says a woman can remarry if her husband is dead and if she has permission from the xwife to marry the husband? |
Bible Answer: Dear PumpHouse, Please read 1 Corinthians chapter 7 and Mark chapter 10. However, mind you that the situation described is very complicated and is beyond the scope and purpose of the Forum to tackle. I strongly suggest the parties involved (if they are Christians) seek counsel from their pastor or elders to get biblical advice. Shalom Azure |
