Bible Question:
I am studying the book of Corinthians right now, and am a bit confused about this verse: 1st Cor14:34,35 It is in reference to women keeping quiet in the church. I would appreciate any input regarding this verse. |
Bible Answer: Women shouldn't be judging prophecy or disrupting meetings. Paul has already assured the right of women to pray or prophecy publicly (1Corinthians 11:1-6), here he is probably emphasing the right of women to judge prophecy, something restricted to the male leadership of the church. As well, women (or men for that matter) shouldn't be disrupting meetings with questions or chatter. God Bless |
