Subject: Is Desiderata in the Bible? |
Bible Note: Hi, Saved... One may employ a text without necessarily asserting its superiority. Jerome was quite a scholar. His translation reflected what was understood to be the best available original manuscripts. Between Jerome's time and John Wycliffe's time, much was learned. Since the time of Wycliffe, there have been even more discoveries. Textual criticism and translation are disciplines that do not depend on the spirituality of the person involved in the process.
