Bible Question:
I have a uestion concerning small group bible studies, rather than scripture itself. Anyway, my bible study group, is having a really hard time getting started with a book to study, due to the fact that we're all on different levels as far as bible knowledge, discipline and enthusiasm is concerned. We tried to start Romans, and I study and read Romans fine on my own, but I find it different in a group. Anyway, we're having trouble finding a starting place, and I believe an Old testament history book such as Joshua would be good, because you would also be able to find and study the attributes of God. Anyway I need thoughts, I can't even write the question down without going off on tangents. Thanks |
Bible Answer: Hi, Yonose... Under those circumstances you can't go wrong with John. It is a powerful book with much for everyone -- from unbeliever to the most mature believer in your group. Remember, as a pastor friend of mine is wont to say, "Salvation is not the ABC's of our faith -- salvatoin is the A through Z of our faith!" In Him, Doc |
