Bible Question:
Why does God not want yeast in bread? There are several verses in the book of Leviticus that says that bread offered to the Lord has to be made without yeast. Why are the priests the only ones allowed to eat the holy meal? Is it because they're cerimonially clean and considered holy in the sight of God. |
Bible Answer: See John 6:33-51 Yeast represents sin or false doctrine. Jesus is the sinless Bread of Life. Therefore, the bread was to be unleavened - without yeast as it is a forshadowing of Christ. Only the priests ate the holy meal as only believers partake of Christ. These are the parallels I see. This is just my opinion. Blessings, mommapbs |
