Subject: EXPLAIM CHAPTER 3 VERSE 5 |
Bible Note: Romans 5:12 "Sin entered the world through one man (Adam) and through sin death. And thus, death has spread through the whole human race because everyone has sinned. Sin existed in the world long before law was given." Because of sin of Adam and Eve our first parent, we are born without grace in our souls, so there is no way for us to have fellowship with God. Jesus became man to bring us into union with his Father. He said no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is first born of "water and the Spirit" (John 3:5)—this refers to baptism as I believed it is. Through baptism we are born again, but this time on a spiritual level instead of a physical level. We are washed in the bath of rebirth (Titus 3:5). We are baptized into Christ’s death and therefore share in his Resurrection (Rom. 6:3–7). Baptism cleanses us of sins and brings the Holy Spirit and his grace into our souls (Acts 2:38, 22:16). And the apostle Peter is perhaps the most blunt of all: "Baptism now saves you" (1 Pet. 3:21). Baptism is the gateway into the Church. Ezekiel 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. WATER means WATER as you can SEE it. Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Acts 2: 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. BAPTISM IS NOT A SYMBOLIC ACT IT DOES SOMETHING FOR OUR PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL BEING. WE ARE ADOPTED TO HIS FAMILY BUT BEFORE WE ARE ACCEPTED WE MUST BE CLEANSE BY TAKING A SHOWER TO TAKE OFF DIRTS. YES WE SHOULD TAKE JESUS WORDS LITERALLY SINCE HE REITERATED THIS MANY TIMES, WE WILL KNOW IF HE IS TALKING SYMBOLICALLY, NOT IN THIS CASE. CAPIZ God Bless |
