Bible Note: Well, that doesn't really answer my question... even there in Acts he is speaking to the Jews and says "whom you had put to death." One could argue that the Romans had Christ put to death, not the Jews. I'm not denying responsibility in the slightest degree -- both Jews and Romans were responsible for the act. But God is Sovereign, Christ's death would not have been possible unless He had laid down His life. Christ's death was not something done to Him -- it was an act He performed Himself (see the passages I cited in the previous post). Perhaps this is an antimony. In Him, Doc |
