Subject: Why is YHWH found in the New Testament? |
Bible Note: Hello Tara1, You are using II Thes. 2:3 as your reference; please keep your thesis in context. Look what it say before and after that verse. 2 Thes. 2:1-6 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. The main subject is the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together unto him. So since you used this verse, II Thes. 2:3, may I ask, is Jesus Christ your Lord and do you think that Jesus is in fact God and if not how could you explain the following? Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. John 10:30 I and my Father are one. Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: Who do you suppose God was talking with? One God in three persons. Acts 26:13-15 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. 14And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 15And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. I am sure that you believe that all will stand before God someday for judgment? Notice the following. John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: Believe what God is trying to tell you, CDBJ |
