Bible Question: Is it possible for us today to "find" or to "catch" the Lord? And if we seek the Lord and follow after Him with all our might (2 Chr. 15:13), will He let us "find" Him? It is the phrase "sought Him earnestly, and He let them find Him" that I would like a discussion on. Thank you! |
Bible Answer: Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:12,13, NIV). There is no doubt that we can find God, provided we are sincere and with all our heart search dor him. Twenty years ago, after a period of bible studies I was preparing to be baptised. I wanted to be certain that I was doing the right thing and at 2:30 am I prayed that if I was doing the right thing I wanted God to walk me up at 7:45 in time for work. The next morning my dad called me at a quarter to eight. I woke up looked at the clock and was confused because my dad went to work at 7:10 am. and there was noone in my bedroom. Who called me? I remembered my prayer and I am certain that God answered my silent inaudible prayer. All his promises are sure! |
