Bible Note: Scripture ... Isa 2:11-17, 48:9-11 ... Ray, greetings. Thank you for asking me again. Does he need to exalt Himself? Since He is the Almighty, He is on top. Men have tried to exalt themselves, so they think they are at or near His level. He will have to hunble them and not let His name be defamed. The reason I thanked you, is because as I searched Scripture and began to write ... I see this as a problem for man today. While He is our Friend, we try to make ourseleves to close to Him. So when it is time to worship (get prostrate before Him, who has absolute rule over me), we say no ... He's my Friend ... I can even boldly approach. I enjoy reading Revelation, for it is full of worship, one of the main themes. People are near Him, yet are prostrate ... He is exalted. Just in ... Since He commands us to worship (Exo 20:5, Luke 4:10) ... I think He is commanding us to exhalt Him. Also read John 4:21-24. Off the soapbox, Searcher |
